1.     Present: Michael Weger in the chair and members Brent Blakley, Jared Clarke,* Kim Gartner, Kevin Kasun,* Barret Kropf, Vicki Mowat,* and Betty Nippi-Albright.*

2.     It was moved by Betty Nippi-Albright:

That, in the opinion of the Standing Committee on Human Services, the overdose crisis in Saskatchewan is an urgent public health emergency; and further,

That the Standing Committee on Human Services conduct an investigation into the overdose crisis in Saskatchewan and that the committee provide recommendations to the government on policies to address the crisis.

The question being put, the Chair exercised a vote pursuant to rule 151(2) and the question was defeated on the following recorded division:

5.     It was moved by Kim Gartner:

The question being put, it was agreed to.

6.     The committee considered Bill No. 19, The Regulated Health Professions Consequential Amendments Act, 2025 / Loi de 2025 corrélative de la loi intitulée The Regulated Health Professions Act.
