1.     Present: Daryl Harrison in the chair and members Noor Burki,* Racquel Hilbert, Kevin Kasun, Brittney Senger,* and Kevin Weedmark.

2.     The Committee Clerk presided over the election of a Chair. Daryl Harrison was nominated for the position. There being no further nominations, it was moved by Kevin Weedmark:

That Daryl Harrison be elected to preside as Chair of the Standing Committee on the Economy.

The question being put, it was agreed to.

3.     The Chair advised the committee that pursuant to rule 148(1), the following 2026–27 estimates and 2025–26 supplementary estimates no. 2 were committed to the Standing Committee on the Economy on March 26, 2026 and March 18, 2026 respectively:

5.     The committee considered the 2026–27 estimates and 2025–26 supplementary estimates no. 2 for the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training.

The Minister of Immigration and Career Training and the following officials appeared before the committee and answered questions:
