[The committee met at 16:00.]
Chair

committee on Crown and central service. Okay. Doug Steele, I’m the Chair. Chris
Beaudry, Terri Bromm, sitting in for the Hon. Lori Carr is Kim Gartner, Hugh
Gordon for Don McBean, Jordan McPhail, and Erika Ritchie.
Committee members, at the beginning of
every legislature the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, with the agreement
of the Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies, recommends a list of
individuals to serve on the audit committee of Saskatchewan. The Speaker
appoints nominees to the audit committee, which may then assist the Public
Accounts Committee and the Crown and Central Agencies Committee with
independent advice on auditing and accounting issues.
We have received correspondence from the
Standing Committee on Public Accounts related to the recommendations of
candidates for the audit committee of Saskatchewan.
Committee members, do we need to go in
camera to discuss the list of nominees? No? Okay.
Okay, I will now ask a member to move
that we concur with the list of candidates. I recognize MLA [Member of the
Legislative Assembly] Beaudry.
Chris Beaudry: — I move:
That the Standing
Committee on Crown and Central Agencies concur with the list of candidates
selected by the Standing Committee on Public Accounts to serve on the audit
committee of Saskatchewan; and
That the Chair send
a letter confirming agreement with the selection of candidates.
