Presenting Petitions

Petitions of citizens of the province of Saskatchewan were presented and laid upon the Table by the following members: Jacqueline Roy, Jordan McPhail, Brittney Senger, Nicole Sarauer, and Tajinder Grewal.

Reading and Receiving Petitions

According to order and pursuant to rule 16(7), petitions from residents of the province of Saskatchewan, requesting the following action, were read and received:

To immediately mandate education on intimate partner violence be included in the orientation process for all new employees across all workplaces in the province.

(Sessional paper no. 107)

To stand up for Saskatchewan and advocate for the restoration of federal Jordan’s Principle funding to support Indigenous students in school.

(Addendum to sessional paper no. 6)

To adopt fair and effective rent control legislation that limits annual rent increases.

(Addendum to sessional paper no. 13)

To immediately renovate all SHC units that require renovation, make units available and affordable, and ensure that all currently vacant SHC units are made occupied.

(Addendum to sessional paper no. 14)

Moved by the Hon. Tim McLeod, by leave of the Assembly:

That the Assembly move to “Government Orders, Item No. 7, Bill No. 34 — The Cyberstalking and Coercive Control Act.”

The question being put, it was agreed to.

The Hon. Jim Reiter delivered a message from Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor which was read by the Speaker as follows:

November 27, 2025

The Lieutenant Governor transmits Supplementary Estimates No. 1 of certain sums required for the service of the Province for the twelve months ending March 31, 2026 and recommends the same to the Legislative Assembly.

To the Minister of Social Services, (a) how many people have received Saskatchewan Income Support (SIS) payments in each year since 2021, (b) how many people have received Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disability (SAID) payments in each year since 2018, (c) how many people received Saskatchewan Assistance Program (SAP) payments in each year between 2018–2020, and (d) how many people received Transitional Employment Allowance (TEA) payments in each year between 2018–2020?

To the Minister of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, (a) how many inmates have died in correctional facilities, broken down by cause of death; (b) how much has been spent on transfers costs to external health facilities, broken down by facility; and (c) how much has been spent on health services, broken down by correctional facility?

To the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, how many people in each of the last ten years were turned away from domestic violence shelters due to capacity or any other reasons?
