PRAYERS
Petitions of citizens of the province of Saskatchewan were presented and laid upon the Table by the following members: Erika Ritchie, April ChiefCalf, Nicole Sarauer, and Betty Nippi-Albright.
According to order and pursuant to rule 16(7), petitions from residents of the province of Saskatchewan, requesting the following action, were read and received:
To renovate SaskHousing units that require renovations and to make units available and affordable.

To immediately reverse the ban on third party sexual health educators in public schools.
(Addendum to sessional paper no. 36)
To recognize the Timber Bay school as a
provincially run residential school and release the school records to the
survivors.
(Addendum to sessional paper no. 96)
To immediately mandate education on intimate partner violence be included in the orientation process for all new employees across all workplaces in the province.
(Addendum to sessional paper no. 98)
To work directly with seniors and long-term care homes to improve standards of eligibility for people seeking admittance to long-term care.
(Addendum to sessional paper no. 100)
The order of the day being called for the following motion for a seventy-five minute debate, it was moved by Michael Weger:
That this Assembly support the Government of Saskatchewan for its record of consistent and meaningful affordability measures, including but not limited to: over $2 billion in affordability measures included with every budget; cutting the carbon tax on everything for everyone; reducing personal income tax by raising the personal, spousal, and dependent child exemptions, and raising the seniors supplement by $500; increasing the disability tax credit by 25 per cent; increasing the caregiver tax credit by 25 per cent; increasing monthly income assistance benefits for SAID and SIS clients; increasing the Saskatchewan low-income tax credit by 20 per cent over the next four years; increasing the personal care home benefit; offering a refundable tax credit of 50 per cent towards fertility treatments; doubling the active families benefit; increasing the graduate retention programs maximum tax credit by 20 per cent; reinstating the home renovation tax credit; increasing the Saskatchewan first-time homebuyers tax credit; permanently maintaining the small business tax rate at 1 per cent; and introducing the Saskatchewan class 1 truck driver training rebate program.
A debate arising and the period of
seventy-five minutes having expired, pursuant to rule 25(5) the Speaker
interrupted proceedings.
The order of the day being called for motion no. 1, it was moved by Erika Ritchie:
That the Assembly calls upon the government to implement a procurement policy that prioritizes local workers and local businesses in Saskatchewan.
A debate arising, it was on motion of Nicole Sarauer adjourned.
On motion of the Hon. Tim McLeod:
Ordered, That this Assembly do now adjourn.
