Petitions of citizens of the province of Saskatchewan were presented and laid upon the Table by the following members: Erika Ritchie, Terri Bromm, Jordan McPhail, and Brittney Senger.

Reading and Receiving Petitions

According to order and pursuant to rule 16(7), petitions from residents of the province of Saskatchewan, requesting the following action, were read and received:

To immediately work with the Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners to develop a plan to properly utilize nurse practitioners in our communities.

To meaningfully address the affordability crisis in Saskatchewan.

(Addendum to sessional paper no. 25)

To enshrine Duty to Consult into law by enacting meaningful duty to consult legislation.

(Addendum to sessional paper no. 28)

To call upon the Government of Canada to take immediate action to remove the harmful tariffs on canola, pork, and peas that are disproportionately affecting the producers and farmers of the province of Saskatchewan.

(Addendum to sessional paper no. 90)

To work with experts and community leaders on evidence-based solutions to the mental health and addictions crisis in Saskatchewan.

Standing Committee Membership

On motion of the Hon. Tim McLeod, by leave of the Assembly:

Ordered, That the name of Megan Patterson be substituted for the name of Alana Ross on the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice.

Resumption of Budget Debate

The Assembly resumed the adjourned debate on the proposed motion of the Hon. Jim Reiter, seconded by Brad Crassweller:

That the Assembly approves in general the budgetary policy of the government,

and the proposed amendment thereto moved by Trent Wotherspoon, seconded by Aleana Young:

That all the words after “Assembly” be omitted and the following be inserted:

does not approve the budgetary policy of the government because it proposes cuts to health care and education while failing to respond to the threat and impact of tariffs, including those imposed by Donald Trump; and further,

That the Assembly has lost confidence in the government.

The debate continuing on the motion and the amendment, pursuant to rule 6(7), the Speaker interrupted proceedings and adjourned the Assembly.

The Assembly adjourned at 5:00 p.m. until Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
